Ian qualified in 1990 as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers having worked in their Dublin and Hong Kong offices. Over the next 8 years he served in a number of senior financial and commercial positions, including the investment holding company Fitzwilton Plc.

He joined the Soft-ex Group as CFO in 2001 and was appointed CEO in 2005.

Ian brings widespread experience in corporate management & the telecommunications industry to the role. And he has been instrumental in driving recent Soft-ex successes, delivering substantial year-on-year growth. Mr Sparling oversees international operations, sales, marketing, human resources, engineering, customer advocacy and product development.

He is focused on leading the Soft-ex strategy in the Telecom Data Intelligence market, while continuing to expand into new overseas markets.

He holds both a Batchelor of Commerce degree and a postgraduate in finance from University College Dublin.
